PLANES
Many of you will be traveling by plane to Palm Springs. For those of you flying, the closest airport is Palm Springs International Airport (PSP). It’s only about a 10 minute drive from the airport to anywhere in Palm Springs and taxis and Ubers are readily available. It’s also all outdoors and adorable.
The next closest airport to consider is Ontario International Airport (ONT). Sometimes flight into Ontario can be cheaper than Palm Springs, however, please note that the drive time is a little over an hour to Palm Springs. If you go this route we highly encourage you to rent a car.
*Reminder: With so many weddings be rescheduled things are busy in Palm Springs so we suggest that you begin looking at flights and booking as soon as you’re committed to attending.
ROOMS
We are not doing a formal room block, but would love if our guests would consider staying at the same hotel we are at - Holiday House Palm Springs. It's a great boutique hotel in downtown Palm Springs and is within walking distance of our wedding venue. With things booking up quickly, we highly suggest you make your hotel reservation this week if you're planning to attend. You are able to book rooms here directly on their site, through a site like Expedia, or I believe on travel points. Please do whatever works for you! **Note: Holiday House is a 21+ property. While our wedding is a kid free event, we know a few of you will have tiny babes attached to you so will need a hotel that accommodates for this.
For those of you who would like to stay somewhere else there are lots of alternative options around, here are a few recommendations around Palm Springs. The Kimpton Rowan is closest to our venue and Holiday House, at just a block away, so easy for people to pop between the two locations for a drink or to say hello.
Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs (right downtown Palm Springs, one block from Holiday House and one block from our venue)
The Ace (5 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs, will be more of a lively/party vibe)
The Saguaro (5 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs, more of a party hotel)
V Palm Springs (5 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs, we haven’t spent time here but a good alternative to the Ace)
Additionally, there are a lot of Airbnb options in the area that can also be considered.
AUTOMOBILES & MOTORCYCLES
If flying into Palm Springs most of you will not need a car, as everything for our wedding weekend is within 5-15 minutes of The Ace Hotel by Uber or taxi. A few reasons you might want to consider renting a car:
General Exploring/Errands: As mentioned, everything is pretty close in Palm Springs! But if you wanted to avoid always jumping in an Uber it is nice to sometimes have a car. Completely optional and most the hotels have everything you need.
Golfing: If you are a golfer, you likely will want a car. Most of the golf courses are outside of Palm Springs and it is much easier to access with a car versus taking an Uber or taxi, as they’re around 30-40 minutes away.
Hiking/Joshua Tree: There are some hikes that are within a short Uber or taxi ride away, however, if you’re wanting to explore further out and say go to Joshua Tree for the morning to do some hiking you’ll definitely want to have a car. If you haven’t been to Joshua Tree we highly suggest checking it out. It’s amazing, especially at sunrise or sunset, plus it’s where we got engaged!
Want to get a motorcycle? Awesome! First, do you have a motorcycle license and actually know how to ride a motorcycle? No? Then you can’t, but rent a car and drive! Yes? Great! Adam rents through Eagle Rider, which is located at the Harley Davidson dealership in Palm Springs. If you’re serious and want more information, call or text us and we can help get you the information you need.
